Devils Make Three Off Track Signings

With their team building continuing with two places left in their 2017 side (subject to BSPA approval) , the Plymouth Devils , have  made three off track signings as they plan ahead for the new season.

Returning as the club’s Commercial Manager is Roger Wakeham , who worked for the previous promotion in that role . He has already started the quest to find a team sponsor as well as advertisers in the programme and on the new air fence in addition to stadium ad boards and meeting sponsors. The promotion have had 1000 Sponsorship and Advertising brochures produced which are being distributed throughout the area. A new e-mail address to contact the commercial department is :

Joining the club as the new meeting presenter is Tim Allan, previously Weymouth presenter for many years. Currently he's involved with rivals Isle of Wight while also running a highly successful company IT Rocks producing top class websites. If that's not enough he also commentates and voices over projects for Speedway

The third addition to the Plymouth backroom staff is Alex Raby, who runs Tapes Up Productions.  His motorsport production company publishes direct-to-DVD coverage at several tracks and for major meetings, and also works for the FIM at many of the top meetings overseas.   Tapes Up Productions’ usual team will work with a local cameraman to produce the Devils’ DVDs and video media output in 2017.

Co-promoters Mark Phillips and Laurence Rogers , working so hard to make Plymouth a success, are pleased with their captures. Rogers commented, “ We want everything to be professional and I know both Tim Allen and Alex Raby will certainly be that. Tim knows his speedway and will ensure our presentation is top class. Hopefully Graham Hambley will be fit enough after his recent stroke to be able to work in the box alongside him and we will have one of the best announcing teams in the country.”

“Alex Raby is the ultimate professional . His work is exemplary and we are looking forward to using his expertise to produce top class DVD’s of the racing. “

Mark Phillips has already been working with commercial manager Roger Wakeham , “ I was very impressed with his enthusiasm when we met. He has a strong background in sales and we are hopeful he can produce plenty of backing for the club. He has been approaching many businesses to sell Plymouth Speedway to them and  a main team sponsor is the goal along with plenty of other backing for the club. If fans have any potential sponsors then they can contact us by e-mail or on the Devils forum and we follow it up.”
