Plymouth Devils have agreed back to back clashes with the Birmingham Brummies for their Knock Out Cup Quarter Final clashes.
The 1st Leg will be at Perry Barr on Wednesday June 28th with the return 24 hours later on Thursday 29th at the St Boniface Arena , giving the Devils a busy three meeting sin three days schedule as they also travel to Lakeside on the Friday night.
The two clubs have also agreed a new date for their league clash after last Friday’s was called off by the referee an hour and a half before the start time. The Brummies return for this on Friday August 11th.
Co-promoter Laurence Rogers is pleased to get these dates agreed, “ Graham Drury and I discussed various dates and were quite quickly able to agree on these fixtures. Having the cup matches over two nights creates potentially a lot of interest and we are running for the first time on a Thursday night . It is just before World Team Cup week and there could be a lot of fans looking to for in a few meetings around that so we could well have some interest in our clashes . It will be a busy time for the lads as we have now have three meetings in as many days!”The Devils have a week off action at home this week as the Plymouth Demons take centre stage in a Celebration of Speedway meeting that has FREE ENTRY for the fans. The new Southern Development League commences as the Exeter Falcons are the opposition for both the Plymouth BUDE BREWERY Demons and the Weymouth Wildcats in six heat four man team clashes. Also on show are some 125cc demonstration races and from the old days of speedway mounted on old JAP bikes are the Men In Black.
