Following the resounding opening night home win the Plymouth Devils head for the West Midlands on Wednesday night to face the reigning National League champions Birmingham.
The Brummies have won the title for the past two seasons and aiming for a hat trick of successes so the Devils could not have been given a tougher start to their league campaign.
But buoyed by the team performance last Friday they travel with confidence of giving the home side a hard battle.
Birmingham will be using rider-replacement for their winter signing Chris Hay who has decided to not continue racing after just one meeting in their colours after his winter move from Stoke.
The Devils are at full strength as they aim to start their league campaign in style . With two ex-Brummies in their side in Lee Smart and Rob Parker they will be aiming to shock the league champions .
Team Manager Laurence Rogers commented, “ We showed on Friday that we are going to be a force to be reckoned with as an all- round team performance that saw us notch up an 18 point victory over the Isle of Wight Warriors.”
“The Brummies have been top dogs in the past two years but this year is a very open competition in this league and I know our boys are up for this. They will be giving it their all and it would be great to come away from Perry Barr with some league points on the board.”
