Following on the capture of JS BREE & SON Ltd as sponsor of the DEVILS home methanol in 2017 the team will also be backed for this for the away meetings by track staff member and stalwart of the club Nick “Skippy” Matthews .
“Skippy” has backed the team’s fuel before and wanted to continue with doing this in 2017. He runs Grand Prix nights throughout the season and proceeds from this and away trip fund raising go towards his support of the club and its riders.
He commented, “ I really wanted to still help the lads in this way as I have done in the past. It is great that the home fuel is being back by Tracey and Jamie Bree and now the lads can know that they don’t have this extra expense .”
Co-promoter Laurence Rogers is pleased this backing is sorted, “ It is a big help for us as a club and a boost for the lads. We are aiming to get as much help as we can for each of them and a grid will be going in the programme and on the website with fans and businesses able to sponsor the rider’s oil, tyres, tear-offs, helmets, points backing . ““We have spoken about team suits and have a price off our sponsor Chris Johnson at D-Star and looking at possible fund raising including some bonus ball lotto schemes and Mark (Phillips) has asked on our Devils forum if fans would support this with some great prizes offered. We were looking at 2 season tickets or 1 family ticket , two air fence banners and a sponsored race in as possible prizes with £35 a number in each draw we do it for. If the fans want to take part we will get it all set up.”
