Devils V Mildenhall Preview

Devils V Mildenhall Preview The Plymouth Devils look like welcoming back heat leader duo Steve Boxall and Benji Compton for their final speedway meeting of the season at the St Boniface Arena in Friday night (27th) when they face Mildenhall.
The league clash with the Fen Tigers has been lost to the weather twice but with a good forecast on Friday it is all systems go as the Devils aim to gain revenge after Mildenhall pipped them to the National Trophy Final in a run-off.
The plus point for the team is that both Steve Boxall and skipper Benji Compton may be passed fit to return to the side. Boxall has been resting his knee injury and sat out a planned grass track outing on Sunday to be fit for Friday. Compton has  also rested his shoulder and is desperate to be back to lead his side in their last meeting of the season.
The meeting will also feature the Southern Development League clash between the BUDE BREWERY Demons and Weymouth whilst the season finale is provided by a FREE Fireworks display.
Co-Promoter Mark Phillips is hopeful that the two riders will be back in action, “ Both Steve and Benji are desperate to return for our final meeting . We will be without Adam Roynon , who had his operation on his shoulder last week with Ben Morley again lined up to guest for us so having the other two back will be a bonus. We have been watching the weather forecast closely and Friday is showing as being a  dry day so that is what we need especially with the fireworks display at the end with no extra admission charge .”
